Free Weights and Strength Training Equipment

Strength training has been proven to help you help you gain muscle, improve self confidence, help control your body fat and enjoy a healthier and fitter life. But perhaps the elderly have the greatest to benefit from strength training since it helps reverse osteoporosis and give you a more functional and safer life.
The Lakes Health Fitness Club we have one of the best weight training area in Melbourne that is complete with free weights and various strength machines. We have about 4 bench press stations, various other chest machines, squat racks, hack squats, leg presses, various rowing stations, several lat pull downs and just about any other piece of strength equipment.
We also have the famous Panatta Sport machines with its "Independent Leverage System". These machines have been biomechanically tested and give you independent levers for your each arm and a great range of motion.
Our dumbbell and barbell range is very diverse and starts from 15 pounds and goes way past 110 pounds. This ensures we have the free weight ready to tackle and just right for you.
Once a member you get a qualified personal trainer to tailor an exercise program to suit your actual goals, your level of experience and the amount of time available to you each session.
Programs are available for Workcover and TAC clients, as well as for over 50's via our certified personal trainers.
